Meet the Teacher: Norah Clements
My name is Norah Clements and I was born and raised in the Charleston area. I graduated from Clemson University in December 2024 (Go tigers!) where I received a double major in Art and Economics. After my fateful first class in ceramics, I fell in love with the medium and couldn’t stay away. I was inspired by the magic of atmospheric kilns and the transformation that clay undertakes as we work with it.
I began teaching ceramics at Beyond Basic Life Skills in the summer of 2024, where we work with adults with intellectual disabilities to help them develop a variety of skills so they can achieve anything they set their mind to. My job involves finding adaptive ways to bring the magic of clay into the hands of everyone who comes into my studio. I’m here now to bring that magic into your hands!
Each pottery piece is fired twice and takes 2-4 weeks to be ready for pick up. You will be contacted via email when your pottery is ready. We reserve the right to sell, display, auction or otherwise use the artwork at its discretion to benefit the nonprofit. We are not responsible for unclaimed work or responsible for any damage incurred to the work not claimed within the pickup window. But we really want you to have your art back so please come get it!
