Saturday 4/12, 10am-12pm, Bubbles with Buddies: Spring Edition

Looking for a sweet springtime activity the whole family will love? Join us for a fun-filled morning at the Bubbles with Buddies: Spring Edition—a playful and hands-on celebration of creativity, community, and all things blooming!
Hosted by Motherland Essentials and our friends at We Grow with the Flow, this event is perfect for families looking to make memories together. Kiddos ages 4 and up can dive into bath bomb making kits—colorful, fizzy fun they can create in the studio or take home to enjoy later! Kids ages 8 and under will need a parent/adult to stay and help!
But that’s not all…
🌱 Got plants that need a little love? Bring them by the Plant Clinic for some TLC.
🌿 Feeling plant-curious or ready to rehome a few leafy friends? Join the Plant Swap and grow your indoor jungle.
🐇 And the fluffiest bonus of all: bunny petting! Yep, your little ones can snuggle up to sweet bunnies while you enjoy the good vibes.
It’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning—whether you’re a local looking for something new or a family passing through downtown Summerville. Come for the bath bombs, stay for the plants and pets, and leave with full hearts (and maybe a few fizzy creations!).
🎟️ Space is limited, so grab your spot now and come grow, fizz, and hop into spring with us!
Meet the Teacher: Andrea Davis
I started Motherland Essentials in 2015 after experiencing the loss of my son, Elijah, 20 weeks into my pregnancy the year prior. I didn’t receive resources for mental health, so I decided to lean into creative self-care to help me find community and provide a way for me to not feel so bad during a really heavy time.
I found soap-making videos on YouTube, and after my first batch (which was really bad), I was hooked and determined to perfect the craft. After sharing my journey on Instagram, building my self-care community and perfecting many more batches of soap, I decided to open my business and introduce creative self-care to others.
Through my work, I have been blessed with partnerships and features with Brambleberry, Wholesale Supplies Plus, BuzzFeed, Essence, Apartment Therapy, and more. However, I am most proud to contribute to community organizations such as Mugs 4 Moms, Fresh Future Farms, and the Avery Research Center for African American History & Culture, many others.
Through my art of soap-making and opportunities to teach in my creative self-care studio and virtually, our mission is to provide collective community care by way of quality products and educational creative self-care workshops.
