Jewelry Design Camp! for Teens: 7/2 & 3, 1-4:30pm
In this fun and hands-on jewelry design workshop, students will learn how to create their own handmade jewelry pieces using a variety of beads, charms, and basic jewelry-making tools.
Campers will be introduced to fundamental techniques such as stringing beads, attaching clasps, using jump rings, and basic wire work. Throughout the session, students will design and can make pieces including necklaces, earrings, and charm necklaces.
Students will be encouraged to experiment with color combinations, patterns, and personalized charms to create jewelry that reflects their individual style. By the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a small collection of custom accessories they designed themselves, as well as the foundational skills needed to continue making jewelry at home.
Meet the Teacher: Mary Charlotte Kiser
Hi! My name is Mary Charlotte Kiser, and I am currently an Elementary Art Teacher at Boulder Bluff Elementary in Goose Creek.
When I’m not in the art room, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and our three cats, and of course creating art of my own. Art has always been a huge part of my life, and I feel so lucky to share that passion with my students each day.
I truly believe art is a powerful way to express thoughts, feelings, and creativity, and I love helping students discover new ways to share their unique voices. Teaching and creating are both very close to my heart, and I can’t wait to welcome you into my classroom soon!
