Summer Clay Camp! 6/22-24, 1-3:30pm, ages 9-14
Join us for a fun and creative three-day Clay Camp. Each day, campers will complete a unique handbuilding project using a variety of techniques, then finish their pieces with colorful glazes. In addition to handbuilding, everyone will have the opportunity to try the pottery wheel and create their own thrown piece. This camp is perfect for young artists who love to explore, get a little messy, and make something special with their own hands! Ages 9-14.
Meet the Teacher
My name is Anna Wilkins, and I am a proud native Wyomingite, now residing in Summerville. My passion for art, specifically in ceramics, began in high school and deepened as I took college courses in ceramics and worked at the university studio as an onsite manager at Montana State University of Billings. I graduated with a B.A. in psychology, but continued my love for the ceramics world by teaching ceramics to kids at a summer camp in Maine. Then my husband and I began traveling around the U.S. for work, and later took a sabbatical to travel internationally, where I expanded my ceramics education by creating in places like Japan, Portugal, and Mexico.
I’m excited to get back into teaching ceramics because it brings me immense joy to inspire others, spread my knowledge of pottery, and share the art of ceramics with people eager to learn and create.
