Faux Cake Class: Wednesday November 6, 6-8pm

Like cake that you can’t eat? Big fan of any binge worthy baking competition show? If you said yes to any of the above, then come spend your evening with Anna Chen and Carson Carroll, and make a fake plaster cake that will regularly get mistaken for the real thing! All materials will be provided, just bring yourself and some idea of how you would decorate it. All cakes will be pre-iced white with spackle and then you will have the choice to leave it as it is or paint it. You will then get to practice your decorative icing skills and add your own flare to your cake. Other decorative materials might include beads, sparkles, fake fruit, buttons, and more!
Meet the Teachers!
Carson Carroll: I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts from Winthrop University where I concentrated in photography, but I tried to take as many classes as I could get my hands on. I am a previous 1st – 8th grade art teacher who now teaches youth and adult workshops focusing on sculpture and photography. I teach because I love watching students discover something new and helping them progress in their interests.
Anna Chen: Originally from Greenville, SC, I am a watercolor collage artist who has an affinity for side quests, including plaster cakes and hanging out with Carson. I enjoy teaching because I always end up learning something new from the classes, and I love seeing how each student takes the same prompt and creates something all their own.
