Tours & Rentals
Book a tour or field trip!
Do you have a group who would be interested in visiting Public Works Art Center? We’d be happy to give you a tour! Whether you’re a school group, homeschool club, retirement community, art club, group of long-lost friends, a large extended family…we’d love to have you. Contact us at info@publicworksartcenter.org with ideal date(s) and times and number of people in your party. If you’d like a private tour, let us know if you’d like someone to share with your group the history of the building, the history of the nonprofit), or just information about the exhibitions currently on view.
For field trips desiring an indoor activity, we recommend teachers bring pencils and paper and encourage children to sit on the floor of the gallery and sketch their favorite pieces. We can accommodate groups up to about 25 at a time due to the nature of the gallery sizes, but have had success with teachers rotating groups between our nonprofit and nearby Hutchinson Square, where picnic lunches and games of tag work well!
Gallery Rentals
Public Works Art Center has three unique galleries. The West and East Galleries are on the main level, and the South Gallery is downstairs. For event rentals, the East and West Galleries can be combined to make one larger, “two room” space. Booking an event at Public Works Art Center helps to support our mission to provide free admission and low-cost opportunities for all to engage with art. Capacity is capped at 138 attendees, and there are options to add space with a large tent in our back parking lot.
We are now accepting inquiries for 2025-26 events.
The cost is $150/hr with a 3 hour minimum (must include set-up and take-down), or $1000 for a full day rental, plus a $250 cleaning fee.
