I know you’ve seen it. All over TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest, women everywhere are jumping into their creative genius, sitting down with a pile of beads and a little patience, and coming out with a piece of jewelry that is completely, unmistakably them. It is more than a trend, it is a whole movement of women slowing down, using their hands, and letting their individual style come alive one bead at a time. We are happy to bring this fun and energy to Summerville. Join Zuriel Kingdom Collections and Public Works Art Center for a Community Bracelet Making Class where you will design and create your own bracelet or necklace using beautiful 8mm glass beads, all materials included. No experience needed, just bring your creativity, and let’s get into it.

Meet the Teacher, Shaniequa Washington:
Hi, I’m Shaniequa, Founder and Creative Director of Zuriel Kingdom Collections. For six years I’ve been building this brand around a simple belief: that fashion is advocacy and style is identity.
Teaching this class is one of my favorite parts of what I do. There is something powerful about a room full of women slowing down together, working with their hands, and creating something that is uniquely theirs. I can’t wait to sit at the table with you, share a little of my craft, and help you bring your own creative genius to life.
24 years of experience in corporate leadership, have been designing from a early age and have created wearable art that have been featured at the Gibbs, Charleston Museum, and designed for Goodwill.
Bookings for classes at Public Works Art Center are subject to the following terms:
- Your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made.
- All payments are made online through Square. If you are unable to pay via Square, you can pay via check (please stop by the art center during business hours or call us at (843) 900 – 3225 to notify intent to mail a check). Confirmation of the class will only occur once the check clears.
- Painting workshops can result in paint getting on clothing and personal items. We advise you to wear old clothes to all workshops. We take no responsibility for damages due incurred at classes. Your personal items are your responsibility. You may be coming home from the workshop with a wet painting. Please ensure you have planned for how you will transport your painting home.
- Photos – You are welcome to take photos of your progress throughout the day. You will need to get the permission of other students and your teacher to take photos of other’s work. Note – Your instructor may take photos of the class throughout the day. These photos may or may not be used for marketing purposes including (but not limited to) use in websites, social media, blogs, advertising, print media and more. If you do not wish to be in photos from the class or give your consent for your images to be used for marketing purposes, then it is your responsibility to inform your instructor at the start of the class. Failure to notify your instructor will mean your acceptance of these terms.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes where required. In the event of a cancellation by us, you will receive a full refund.
- Cancellation Policy – If you wish to cancel your booking, a minimum of one week’s notice is required. You will receive a full refund for cancellations where at least one week notice is given. No refunds will be given for cancellations with less than one week notice.
By booking an art class, you are accepting these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
Please arrive at least ten minutes prior to the start of your class, and plan to stay the entire time.
