DESCRIPTION:The “Disappearing 9-Patch” is one of the most versatile patterns quilters can have in their arsenals. Magic happens when 9 simple squares sewn together\, cut apart\, & then resewn\, and it’s easier than you’d think. We will make 1 block in class and see all of the ways it can be put together to make different designs. \nLevel: Beginner+ (knowledge of your own machine & the ability to sew 1 /4″” seam) \nMaterials: Sewing Machine\, general sewing supplies (thread\, machine needle\, extra bobbin\, stitch ripper\, scissors\, rotary cutter\, mat\, 6-1 /2 x 12-1 /2″” quilting ruler)\, nine 5″” squares (4 light\, 4 medium\, 1 dark)\, pattern & instructions provided by the instructor. \nThe “Disappearing 9-Patch” pattern may be purchased ahead of time at People\, Places\, and Quilts right next door! \nQuestions about the supplies and pattern? Known for her patience and “you be you” attitude\, she’s always ready to teach a new skill or help someone refine an old one.
