SUMMARY:SPARK 2025 — COMMUNITY EXHIBITION
DESCRIPTION:Public Works Art Center invites the community to take part in the Sixth-Annual SPARK Exhibition. \nDetails on the Seventh-Annual SPARK Exhibition will be shared in the spring of 2026\, stay tuned! Read about last year’s SPARK Exhibition below to know what to expect for this year!  \nPLEASE NOTE: \nWe are no longer accepting submissions! Thank you so much to everyone who participated! \nPlease don’t let the cost deter you! Email us at linda@publicworksartcenter.org for a waiver to be a part the show. \nDrop-offs for submissions starts August 23\, 2025 until September 6\, 2025. Early and late submissions or artwork drop offs will not be accepted\, so please hold onto your artwork until then! When dropping off work\, please check your work in with the Welcome Desk. Don’t forget\, all artwork must be clearly labeled on the back with name\, contact information (working phone number or email)\, and either a price or “NFS” (Not For Sale). \n— \nThis exhibition exists to “ignite the spark” of creativity in participants and viewers\, and all are welcome to take part. One piece per person\, regardless of age or background\, will be accepted provided it follows the following criteria. This year’s theme is “Harmony\,” and we are thrilled to see the work that comes from this theme. Submission fees are $20 for adults and $5 for children. If money is tight\, the submission fee can be waived\, email us at linda@publicworksartcenter.org for the waiver. \n  \nSPARK is a themed exhibition comprised of three parts: an invitational component in our largest gallery (The West Gallery)\, an open-to-all community portion in the adjacent gallery (The East Gallery) and a youth section in our downstairs gallery (The South Gallery). While all invitational artists have been selected\, the Community and Youth portions are open to all who would like to submit work no matter their age or level of experience. There is no “judging” or “jurying” in a piece for the Spark Community Exhibitions\, ALL submissions are accepted (one per person\, must fit below criteria). You may submit your entry on our website from now until August 31.  \n  \nAfter completing the entry form\, art work must be dropped off to Public Works Art Center during our regular operating hours (10 am – 5pm Tuesday – Saturday ) beginning August 23\, 2025 until September 6\, 2025\, ending at 5pm September 6th. Please note that early and late submissions or artwork drop offs will not be accepted. Your packing material must go with you\, we unfortunately do not have the space to store it all\, any packing material left behind will be disposed of or donated. Work not sold may be picked up November 15th – November 22nd. We are not responsible for any work left after the designated pickup dates. \n  \nThis year\, the exhibition runs from September 12 – November 15. The reception for this exhibition will be September 13 from 10 am – 1 pm on the day of our annual Block Party. We strongly encourage you to come out to the Block Party to celebrate your work along with all of the other artists and just enjoy the Block Party (which is free for everyone to enjoy!) \n  \n— \nSubmitting this application gives us the information we need to make labels\, and means you’re committing to dropping off your piece in the allotted time frame. Please read ALL of the criteria below before considering submission! \n\n\n\nEvery artist must fill out this form before dropping off any work.\nArtists must own all rights to the works they submit.\nEarly or late entries will not be accepted.\nEach artist is allowed to submit one piece of artwork in any medium no larger than 18″ x 24″ (22″ x 28″ matted).
