SUMMARY:Pottery: Open Studio: March 2026 (previous pottery experience required!)
DESCRIPTION:Open Studio is recommended for those who are familiar with the ceramic process\, don’t need hands-on instruction\, and feel confident working independently on their own pieces. A monitor will be available for technical assistance\, but this is self-directed\, private work time in our well-equipped ceramics studio. Firing and glazing is included with each clay purchase. Clay is $25 for a 25lb bag. You can purchase at the front desk before the start of class. \n**Time in the studio is $20 per hour.** You may sign up for one or both hours. \nParticipants must complete the Beginning Pottery course or demonstrate proficiency with Clay Studio Manager to have use of the pottery studio. Open Studio welcomes those with previous ceramic experience to share our space\, equipment\, and materials to create with clay. Students are not permitted to bring in pottery they have created outside of the studio. \nEach pottery piece is fired twice and takes 2-4 weeks to be ready for pick up. You will be contacted via email when your pottery is ready. Pottery not claimed within 90 days will be considered a donation to Public Works Art Center. Artists are required to collect their artwork within the designated pickup period. We reserve the right to sell\, display\, auction or otherwise use the artwork at its discretion to benefit the nonprofit. We are not responsible for unclaimed work or responsible for any damage incurred to the work not claimed within the pickup window.
